2018 SFCAHT Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign – Kickoff Press Conference & Modern Day Abolitionist Award Ceremony

The local media and community members joined together on January 11th for the Annual Press Conference of SFCAHT where leading anti-trafficking advocates, service providers, survivors and Bay Area top government and law enforcement officials announced their priorities for the year in fighting modern-day slavery. We kicked off the month long awareness campaign and honored the 2018 Modern-Day Abolitionist Award winners: Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Melissa Saurwein & Homeland Security Investigations Victim Assistance Specialist Nicole Beeson.

Tse, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Ryan Spradlin, Supervising California Deputy Attorney General, Maggy Krell, San Francisco Department on the Status of Women’s Director & Chair of the Mayor’s Task Force Against Human Trafficking Dr. Emily Murase, Deputy Consul General of Mexico Guillermo Reyes, FBI Supervising Special Agent Violent Crimes Against Children Andrew W.
