United Nations Commission On The Status Of Women NGO Forum: “Abc’s of global collaboration to fight human trafficking”

This panel explores San Francisco’s innovative partnerships to address human
trafficking through interdisciplinary and multi-agency collaboration involving
consular offices, social services and law enforcement agencies, non-profit
organizations, faith-based groups and socially responsible businesses. These
partnerships, using victim- centered approaches, address transnational human
trafficking implications through international cooperation. The interfaith
community, consular offices and organizations supporting immigrants and sex
workers are given a special role. Continued training to professionals is provided.
Businesses support through advanced technology and progressive business
practices. The workshop will include a video, presentations, and a Q&A session.
