In 2006, the National Council of Jewish Women collaborated with Jewish Family and Children’s Services, New Israel Fund and Jewish Community Relations Council to create The Jewish Coalition to End Human Trafficking (JCEHT) with a goal to broaden the understanding in the Jewish community regarding the crime of human trafficking/modern-day slavery and to work toward its eradication.

On January 19, we gathered together with Jewish community leaders and local government officials and politicians to celebrate the JCEHT’s 10 year dedicated work and recognize its founding organizations and activists. For 10 years the Coalition has been advocating on behalf of those trapped in modern-day slavery and educating the community about the need prosecute and punish the traffickers.
